Gomez Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Told I had two bald tyres, couldn't really argue, they were pretty bad. Grateful for the warning and all, it is clearly dangerous, but a bit p*ssed off about being punished. Now got 3 points on my license and I don't really feel I have intentionally done anything wrong. I usually check my tyres fairly regularly but these have worn down much faster than normal. I obviously have a mechanical fault with car as the tyres cannot be much over a year, maybe 18 months old and were fine when I had an MOT at the end of March, and I definitely checked my pressures at the begining of May, and I would have noticed then. It's not like I do above average milage, and I don't particularly speed either. Anyway, it's not like a speeding ticket so I didn't really have a leg to stand on so I handed over my license on the spot. However, despite me giving him my license, he's copied my name down wrong. Is there a way I can get out of it? He's only missed a letter out, it's not like he's called me a completely different name or anything, but does it technically make the ticket invalid?
