brucelee Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 The prosecutor in the case has called for Juve to be relegated into Serie C, and also uging the sporting tribunal to condemn Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina to Serie B. Here
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 (edited) Que sera sera, whatever will be will be, you goin to serie C Edited July 4, 2006 by AussieRED
Stevie H Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 bet you they bottle it, relegate juve to serie b and leave the rest in the top flight with maybe a points penalty.
Guest Cacodemon Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I bet Inter Milan can't believe it - if this happens, it'll be the best chance for them to win Serie A in years....
madskilz Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 bet you they bottle it, relegate juve to serie b and leave the rest in the top flight with maybe a points penalty. I reckon they may push Juve to Serie C just to help clear up the name of Italian football, but agree they won't relegate the others - they'll just give them a heavy fine and a points reduction
AE Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I bet Inter Milan can't believe it - if this happens, it'll be the best chance for them to win Serie A in years.... They will still manage to blow it.
Gilps Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I bet Inter Milan can't believe it - if this happens, it'll be the best chance for them to win Serie A in years.... A chance they would inevitably fail to take. The suggestion of hefty points penalties to go with the demotions is clearly intended to stop it being a foregone conclusion that they get promoted again straight away. Can't see it going that far, but we shall see.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 it'll be a typical legal case. prosecutor goes for a certain punsihment, knowing they'll water it down... if he went for serie b, they'd probably escape relegation. where does this leave the relegated clubs? how soon are they likely to arrive at a verdict & sentence (if applicable). where does an appeal fit in - with the new seasoj on the horizon
ifanew Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Any Idea how this would work in practice? Surely teams from Seria B would have to be promoted to Seria A and a team from Seria C1 Prompted to Seria B if Palazzi's recommendations are taken on board.
Leo No.8 Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Hope Juve get everything that's coming to them. All those f*cking w@nkers who turned their backs and give us the finger when we extended the hand of friendship to them last year at Anfield. It wasn't even a minority. but a large proportion of their travelling fans. I thought 'fine - f*ck you then, have it your way'. Hope the corrupt b@stards get relegated to amateur level...
Gilps Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 where does this leave the relegated clubs? how soon are they likely to arrive at a verdict & sentence (if applicable). where does an appeal fit in - with the new seasoj on the horizon Verdicts are due by Monday 10th at the lates. Should Italy win tonight I'd say its a safe bet they will be on,, not before, Monday. Appeals will definitely be heard within two to three weeks as UEFA's final deadline for the confirmation of entries to the European competitions is 31 July. The entirely innocent Palermo have already lost out on an Intertoto Cup place, as the final league placing couldn't be confirmed before that competition started, so they won't take the same risk with Champions League and UEFA Cup places. All those f*cking w@nkers who turned their backs and give us the finger when we extended the hand of friendship to them last year at Anfield. It wasn't even a minority. but a large proportion of their travelling fans. I thought 'fine - f*ck you then, have it your way'. That was entirely their prerogative. We cannot force people to accept an apology, no matter how sincerely expressed it may be. I'm quite sure that if the situations had been reversed there would be more than a few of our fans who would never accept any apology.
cymrococh Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I'm quite sure that if the situations had been reversed there would be more than a few of our fans who would never accept any apology.Too true, and turning their back would be the least of their reaction.

Hope the corrupt b@stards get relegated to amateur level... it was a minority if i remember rightly. Just the first few rows. Many of the Juve fans clapped the Mosaic. I remember thinking that it was the younger fans who made a point of turning there backs and the older fans, the ones who would have been able to remember it, who were more likely to applaud.

I'm quite sure that if the situations had been reversed there would be more than a few of our fans who would never accept any apology. They wouldn't accept an apology 20 years on? From a club with which only a tiny, tiny minority of the people who were to blame would still be involved? Then they'd be idiots as well. For a start, their fans had a pretty fair part to play in the whole thing anyway, but without going into it, it's f*cking ridiculous. Its history now - like still hating the Germans for the World Wars. Anyway - if its their prerogative to refuse the apology, its mine to say 'fine f*ck off then', dislike them for it, and take pleasure in seeing them relegated to the pits of Italian football. Gilps Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Its history now - like still hating the Germans for the World Wars. Or still hating the S*n?
Leo No.8 Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I wasn't saying there was an exact equivalence. If that newspaper ever offered a full and sincere apology though, I have absolutely no doubt that the proportion of our supporters still refusing to accept it would be higher than the proportion of Juventus supporters who spurned our club's apology. And it would be their right to do so, just as it was those Juve supporters' right. To look down on those supporters for doing so, let alone all supporters of that club, is the sort of thing that a certain low brow newspaper might do. Certainly saying you'd be happy to see the club relegated as a result (as opposed to for the very legitimate reasons of his current investigation) seems to me to reflect a bittness and lack of perspective beyond what you're criticising their fans for. Well in turth I'm happy to see them relegated for the legitimate reasons - the fact that I don't particularly like Juventus really is more of a bonus. As I said before, they have a right not to accept mine and all those other fans heartfelt apologies for Heysel, you are absolutely correct. However I also have the right to feel I've apologised enough for something I didn't do, that it's been long enough now, and to have found their gestures towards me unpleasant, do I not?
Guest Red Mist Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I hope we sign Del Piero when Juve are finally sent into the abyss. He's the only Juve player I would want in our team.

I've met a few Leo and they really don't like us at all. It's gone the way of Roma and Milan that relationship.. Think only Inter/Lazio have anytime for us over there.
jfogarty Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I bet Inter Milan can't believe it - if this happens, it'll be the best chance for them to win Serie A in years.... Obviously seen as their rivals have been cheating for several seasons

jfogarty Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 both those sets of fans are scum No they have an element of scum just like Juventus, Milan, Roma, Fiorentina and almost every other professional club in the world
Guest Jack Bauer Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Juventus are a s***ty club with s***ty fans and I hope they go down and never return ever.
