Will you be booing Placcy next season (if he stays) or will it just be every other team's fans? ;)

The Mancs will love it, it'll be like Beckham all over again.

They'd be right to love it. He's their lad, he hasn't done a massive amount wrong and while he's at the club they should get behind him.

Had he done something genuinely terrible then backs should be turned but he really hasn't.

Placcy did nothing that none of the England players would have done if it was Carvalho who'd stamped on Rooney's nuts.

The tabloids and the morons that read them have their Johnny Foriegner scapegoat.

I won't be boo-ing him, I don't see the point. He was playing for his country, and pointed out to the ref that Rooney had trod on his fellow country's nads.

As for the rest of, I couldn't give a t*ss. I don't Ronaldo and I never have. Infactm I don't rate Rooney that much either, but there you go.

Ronaldo had the potential to extremely good, but like many youngsters, he never reached that potential. He was more concerned with looking good (step-overs etc), yet when he just flew down the wing and crossed the ball, he was astonishingly good.

As for Rooney, I'm yet to be convinced. Again, he has bags of potential, but I've a feeling he's not going to progress. He's too inflated with his own self-importance, the press are talking about him like he's already the finished article (which he isn't by a long shot), and finally I think his attitude stinks. He was the one who stamped on another player. Ronaldo didn;t (whever he tried to get Rooney sent off is a different issue as far as I'm concerned), yet he blamed Ronaldo - as did the media. If Rooney hadn't stamped on a player, then he wouldn't have been sent off. Simple.

I agree with you there, I remember once when we lost 2-1 at old trafford and in the first half he tore us to bits, he just took the ball and ran past josemi (not that difficult I grant you) every time and he looked terrific. Sadly those performances are few and far between from what I have seen
