anyone else notice ian wright's "haha those little people are so funny" after ricky gervais' crouch / rooney sketch yesterday?

His stupidity is stunning, he'll get away with that too you know.

Hansen is a hack these days, he has no credibility left and his decline is symbolic of the direction the BBC have chosen to take, they just can't be arsed putting in the work anymore, it's easier to tell people what they want to hear whether it's right nor not.

To be fair Carrick's using of the ball would have benefitted England's play but not at the expense of Hargreaves. A central midfield 3 of Hargreaves, Carrick and either Lampard with Gerrard on the right or Gerrard with Lennon on the right would have been interesting.

Gerrard and Lampard together in central midfield whether as a 2 or a 3 (Wales, N Ireland) has not worked for the last 3 years and yet we still persevered with it. The sad thing is that will probably be my lasting memory of this World Cup.

they should both be in the team to be fair. mclaren should go for robinson, carragher, ferdinand, king, acole, gerrard, hargreaves, carrick, lampard, crouch, rooney in a 3-5-2. with carson, neville, terry, dawson, wright-philips, parker, beckham, jcole, nolan, ashton, owen shadowing. lennon and defoe should complete the squad.

with more and more teams playing 1 up front i think 3 at the back is the best way to go. it allows a team to compete with a 5 men midifield while also continuing to pose a threat with 2 up top and width.

From what we're reading in the press, There's no chance of Terry being dropped (he's more likely to be made captain). BTW, I agree that we should try 3 at the back but in your team would you really have Gerrard as the right sided wing back?
