R A Softlad Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 If we'd played to our strenths and lost a ripsnorting 3-2, I really wouldn't have minded. But it's seeing that odious, conniving, carpetbagging c*** of a "manager" sat doing SFA in the dugout, when you know that the bloke from the pub with a metal plate in his head could have made a better fist of it.I would like to punch Sven more than I would C. Ronaldo. And I would very much like to punch C. Ronaldo. Ronaldo's got feck all to do with it. Yeah he's an annoyin red tosser, but we've been crap all the way though.A population of 55 million, take away 20 million for geriatrics, nutters, people who know nothing about football (Manyoo fans and women) and you have35 million who all knewwe had to take 5 strikersHad to play 442Had to sort out which 'world calss' midfielder we had to drop for a holding player.Had to motivate the team and the nation ala klinsman and ScolariBut Sven, Becksie and McClaren knew better.nah f*** that - easyken posted on 1/7 19:20Erisson isn't a cheating Munich c*** like Ronaldo isI hope, and believe, that Rooney will kick the f*** out of him at Old Trafford. And if he doesn't, when I next see him out in Manc, like I have done about 4 times before, I will kick the f*** out of him. PROMISE. Agreed , now for the Prem's most negative manager - GDujon posted on 1/7 19:12its not a World Cup we were going to win once we played the better teams IMHOWe've been carrying Beckham for the sake of taking set pieces for 3-4 years, we had one properly fit forward and an embryo, and played with negative tactics against even poor teams you don;t stand a chance with a manager making such a f*** upand we've signed up Sven mark 2 - the most negative club manager in the Prem's recent times. Steve Maclaran as the best for the job, we'll at least we can all end a bitterly disappointing day by laughing our fu@@in socks off Can take being knocked out - jimmygrumble posted on 1/7 19:10What p!sses me off is that we were boring, negative, shapeless, clueless and had no imagination.Coming home after 5 dour matches, where we bored the whole of the footballing world to sleep.Only positive is that he's fecked off (No doubt to grab his last few million in his memoirs about how unjustly he was treated in England), but even that has to be tempered by the fact we got the only sh!te candidate on the short list of replacements. i hope united don't sell Ronaldo - howiehok posted on 1/7 19:01his life will be hell home and away next season!f'kin reds again - Heywoodblue posted on 1/7 18:58i hate them. can honestly say - userismyname posted on 1/7 18:54I don't and never will hate someone more than I hate C. Ronaldo.I can't put it into words. have a funny feeling - shuggie posted on 1/7 19:04that he's gonna get the beckham treatment next season and I wouldn't like to be him in the next practice game with Rooney.Having said that, this has been our worst performance start to finish in a tournament for many a year.We didn't put in one convincing performance. The defence 2nd half and extra time excellent but we should be able to beat a weakened portugal side and we were struggling before the sending off. if anything we looked better after that. With the importance of penalty shootouts we also need to get a keeper that can save a few like other teams have. robinson and james are not mobile enough when it comes to penalty shootouts.lastly I predict that this poor world cup will be followed by a dive in attendances in the prem next season. football - princelazar posted on 1/7 18:55It f***s you up the a*** violently and repeatedly for most of your life if you're a genuine fan.... John am Rhein Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 A population of 55 million What country is this?
Guest Jack Bauer Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 What exactly is your point? He didn't know it was 50 million off the top of his head? Wow.
RBM Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I really hope that scotland wales and ireland never ever relies on English Souls to guarantee their freedom ever again

Rico Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 (edited) It's the typical England = Britain syndrome Is it? Come off it, an estimate of 55 million isn't that far of the mark. "The population of the United Kingdom on Census Day 2001 was 58,789,194 for England and Wales, for Scotland and for Northern Ireland. The populations of individual countries were: England 49,138,831 (83.6 per cent of the total population); Scotland 5,062,011 (8.6 per cent); Wales 2,903,085 (4.9 per cent); Northern Ireland 1,685,267 (2.9 per cent)." So, he was 5 million out, but whether he meant the population of England or the population of the United Kingdom, he's still about 5 million out; thus I think you have to give the benefit of the doubt, rather than casting "typical England = Britain syndrome" accusations. floyd Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 No doubt the London press will be finding a way, to subtily mention Jamie's and Stevie's miss. But will gloss over Lampards. ( I feel obliged to add a note that probably doesn't belong in this thread, but as my missus pointed out, Ronanldo has probably played his last game for the Mancs, you will see the start, no doubt tommorrow, of the same vitriol that accompanied Ahn Jung-hwan at the last World Cup from Italy)
Paul B Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 That number should keep the printers of ID cards busy, eh John?

Spike Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 would rather they kept placcy to be honest as he could raise a few bob for them. Anyway, irrespective of that the downfall came from having an inept manager who selected players for their name rather than a system that worked. viva le people's republic of Liverpool. We should go basque on their asses
libero Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Its started already mate, I was listening to Talksport when I went to pick my wife up at work and that fat hoor Parry was going on about Ronaldo as if he was a mass murderer, with talksport being the station of choice of a lot of numpties his vitriol is sure to rub off on a few. I could gloat tonight with me being a Jock and all but I dont think its appropriate Engurland were unlucky and I felt sorry for our lads and for Owen Hargreaves, he never desreved to be on the losing side with the amount of running he did, if he played for one of the big clubs over here they would be raving about him.
Spike Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 he's a bluenose c*** so he's hardly gonna slate rooney is he? agree about Hargreaves. Immense performance by him.
