We've been carrying Beckham for the sake of taking set pieces for 3-4 years, we had one properly fit forward and an embryo, and played with negative tactics against even poor teams you don;t stand a chance with a manager making such a f*** up

Only positive is that he's fecked off (No doubt to grab his last few million in his memoirs about how unjustly he was treated in England), but even that has to be tempered by the fact we got the only sh!te candidate on the short list of replacements.

Having said that, this has been our worst performance start to finish in a tournament for many a year.

We didn't put in one convincing performance.

The defence 2nd half and extra time excellent but we should be able to beat a weakened portugal side and we were struggling before the sending off. if anything we looked better after that.

With the importance of penalty shootouts we also need to get a keeper that can save a few like other teams have. robinson and james are not mobile enough when it comes to penalty shootouts.

lastly I predict that this poor world cup will be followed by a dive in attendances in the prem next season.

Come off it, an estimate of 55 million isn't that far of the mark.

So, he was 5 million out, but whether he meant the population of England or the population of the United Kingdom, he's still about 5 million out; thus I think you have to give the benefit of the doubt, rather than casting "typical England = Britain syndrome" accusations.
