vish Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 rather than making comments in all the other threads, why don't we discuss him here...
IgPig Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 how about we ignore him - hi might go away (Heskey that is)
CarraLegend Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 rather than making comments in all the other threads, why don't we discuss him here... He's s**** and we wont be in for him despite what Kev says
Knoxy Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Makes no sense. He flopped for us, he's been rubbish at Birmingham, and he'd be on fairly hefty wages I'd prefer not to bother getting another striker, and just give Sinama or Le Tallec an extended run if needs be
Andyjandy Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 My dad was pretty excited to here this. He thinks that givn rafa's track record of motivating and improving players it would be a good move. I dunno, but I do know he has been unplayable at times. Ole' BRuno's goals against chelsea were probably Heskey's best game for us.
The Hitman Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I'll do my nut if we sign Heskey,I really will. We'll be a laughing stock.
Moose Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 No by Jeebus .. it cant happen, surely .. wont someone please think of the children!
CarraLegend Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I'll do my nut if we sign Heskey,I really will. We'll be a laughing stock. Couldnt give a f*** what others think about us, I just dont want us to re sign him. And we wont.
shanklyn Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 I think I might put my name down for a season ticket if Heskey signs, I can smell them burning already.
mrjunk Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Rafa stated when he first started that he hadn't wanted Hesky to leave, it was Houllier that sold him and Rafa thought he could play a big part in his team. wouldnt be too shocked to be honest, Hesky did some very good work for us.
Guz Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Rafa stated when he first started that he hadn't wanted Hesky to leave, it was Houllier that sold him and Rafa thought he could play a big part in his team. When did he say this? Why would we sell Heskey when we were in negotations with Rafa if he wanted to keep Emile at the club? And why would Houllier be given any say over transfers in the summer, when it was clear his time was up long before the season was over?
Guest Jack Bauer Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Rafa also wanted to keep Cisse and Baros before he had them for a full season.
Guest Kev Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 When did he say this? Why would we sell Heskey when we were in negotations with Rafa if he wanted to keep Emile at the club? And why would Houllier be given any say over transfers in the summer, when it was clear his time was up long before the season was over? I was told by someone inside the club, Emile was told by a Spanish journalist/tv presenter, and another poster on here was told by a current Liverpool player.
Flip Martian Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 He had "some" brilliant games maybe (I can remember "some" good goals) but on the whole, for reasons that probably weren't all his fault, he wasn't really what you would call a success. If he had been we wouldn't have sold him. End of.
anny road Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 in the treble season there was a spell where he was virtually unplayable...but that apart he needed a shrink not a manager he had all the attributes...great physique, strength, and he could play regardless of what people say....the problem was he was the ultimate confidence player......and he shrunk when he lacked confdence which he did for the last few seasons............... one thing that would be fun though would be to see if TLW spell his name h*skey like they did during his last few months at the club
anny road Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 he was s**** last year for birmingham as well so were most of there players
rudiger Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 He had his moments for us but we have Crouch now, who offers more than Heskey ever did.
Guest Red Mist Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 If Crouch ever produces the form Heskey did during the treble season, you may have a point. Heskey was outstanding that season, creating countless chances for Owen and causing havoc for the opposition. If Rafa can bring that sort of form out in Heskey on a regular basis I'd be happy to have him back. But then he has been utter s**** for the past 5 years or so, he may be beyond even Rafa's help.
hagi_complex Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 F*cking hell, I hope this doesn't happen. He's big soft get with very limited footballing ability.
Bailo Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 Yes, I would take it as that. All I know is Liverpool have been intouch with his agent and Emile will not move until we say yeh or nay, but it's looking a lot more like nay.yay!
