Benitez isn't arsed about 20 a season goal hangers, he wants goals from all over the pitch, which we got last season scoring over a hundred goals, mainly from midfield.

 

Once you start relying on one main striker to get you goals you become a predicatable, one dimensional team, who are easy to snuff out.

 

I'm more concerned with getting some pace on the flanks.

Goals from your strikers will also help and are needed, no doubt about that, but what I'm saying is I don't think he sets us up just to create chances for two main goal poachers.

 

Most of the time at Valencia, who were never high scorers by the way, it was his midfielders that were top of the goals chart. Even Chelsea who have won two league titles on the trot had more goals from midfield.
