we have a park not to far from us that has a section specifically designed for model plane enthusiasts.

 

it has a dual runway, one for take off and one for landing, it has helicopter pad, charging bays and a big long work bench.

 

I have taken the boys out to watch the aircraft many times and it is really cool. Alot of the experts build their own planes and there are some terrific planes, both large and small.

 

They do give lessons in the fall to kids (and adults) over 11 yo and are very good at letting kids have a go if there are not too many watching.
