Tosh Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 At least 4 in 10 doctors think that way. Seems that the Doctors want to be able to make a call that says "if it was self inflicted, treatment should not be free". The issues mentioned are drink, ciggies and fat Grauniad Interesting idea, although impossible to implement (ignoring the issue of undermining the NHS ethos). Should a car accident victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, get treated? Or the helmetless cyclist? Or the car-flattened pedestrian wearing dark clothes on a winters night?
