Injuries - should the Reds fight back?

Following the injuries to Cisse and Owen and the news that both Liverpool and Newcastle (especially Liverpool) will get precious little compensation from FIFA, is it about time LFC and other clubs dig their heels in and refuse to release players unless a decent compensation package is drawn up? Know there are pitfalls but.......
