all footy fans have a touch of the bitterness about them.....its just some of us know this.

But it is so cooooooooool to be anti English.

If one day in the next10-20 years the Welsh, Irish or Scots actually qualify for a tournament we can get our own back.

By supporting them, like you did the last time the FAI lads qualified? :bleh:

Not really, but I don't go on about it every day of the week.

some liverpool fans do....but theyre not "bitters" eh.

recognise in yourself what you so readily seek in others.

or something.

Last time yes, next time, if there is one not a chance.

strange - it's not the first time i've seen a comment like that..

why do people think that some of us are anti-English to try and be in some sort of clique or act cool and not because they have a genuine grievance with some players or the cronies who run the show?

Or because some of us aren't actually English.

I just find International footy odd. How can you cheer for a player for a month where normally you hate 11 months a year?

This is true though. I had no love for Roy Keane at any time. Whether he was in a red or a green shirt, he was always a c*nt.

because the player isn't playing for the club that you hate, he's playing for the country that you support - not rocket surgery this.

in the same way when a player that you loathe, like say Craig Bellamy for instance, signs for the team that you support, you suddenly stop loathing him.

But you stick up for Lampard even as a Chelsea player.

Maybe I'm fickle, but I can't get over that hurdle. As I'm not English, they're not a great example, but with Ireland, as Des says - Roy Keane is a c*** & was a c***. I NEVER want(ed) to see him happy & therefore couldn't back a team with him in it

Point being...?

They're not the Mancs but they are still our rivals. I don't like them and never have, even pre-Abramovich. Their fans are tossers.

i don't like Chelsea either but i'm not going to call a player crap when i don't think he is, just cos he plays for a team i don't want to beat Liverpool.

and if he'd signed for Liverpool ?

Surely we all admire Chelsea's achievements of recent seasons and were all so disappointed when they were cheated out of the European Cup by Barcelona, no?
