cymrococh Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Bizarre Juventus team manager and former defender Gianluca Pessotto has been seriously injured after falling out of a window at the club's headquarters, according to the club's press office.Thirty-five-year-old Pessotto only retired at the end of last season after spending 11 seasons with Juventus, during which time he helped win six Serie A titles and the 1996 Champions League crown. Pessotto, who also played for Italy in the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000, has been taken to hospital in Turin. Italy captain and former Juve team-mate Fabio Cannavaro walked out of a Italian national squad press conference this morning after hearing about the accident.

Benitez Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Looking like attempted suicide. Pessotto was clutching a rosary as he fell ere Pessotto in hospital after fallTuesday, 27 June 16:47 BST Italian police have confirmed that Gianluca Pessotto was found clutching a rosary after a fall from the club's headquarters that left him in hospital. The Juventus team manager, who was only appointed to the job during the summer, is in a serious condition at a Turin hospital after falling from 15 metres from either a window on the second or third floor, or the roof, of the club's headquarters in Corso Galileo Ferraris. Pessotto, who retired as a player at the end of last season, suffered multiple fractures but his life is not thought to be in danger. The full-back won 22 Italy caps, as well as six Serie A titles and the 1996 Champions League with Juve. Juventus' Press officer Marco Girotto said: "We still don't know what occurred, we'll have to wait and see. "Gianluca has suffered a number of fractures, but his life is not at risk."

cymrococh Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 very sad if he really has been driven to act so rashly by these corruption charges. Moggi is a big old c*nt.

Andythered Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I would not assume that he had the Rosary in his hands before he left the building as it were.
jimmylibel Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I would not assume that he had the Rosary in his hands before he left the building as it were. Was thinking the same thing, could he not have been wearing it around his neck and grasped as he lied prone on the ground.
R A Softlad Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Even if he did the catholic belief is that Suicide goes against the will of god - so a rosary wouldn't have helped him had he died... if you get my drift.
Coyler Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Old Lady legend Liam Brady was on the radio this morning and just before he went he was asked did he know anything about it and he said a few people had been on to him from Turin and the info is that it's actually a domestic issue. Which would be good news, I think.
