Quite agree - At WBA in the 70's he brought through Cyrille Regis, Laurie Cunningham and Brendan Batson. Also as a co-commentator he talks a lot of sense - a lot better than Lawro. I'd rather have Big Rons insight into the game any day.

Motson and Lawrenson were absolutely horrible yesterday. When they saw that carragher was coming on, Lawrenson sparked up with the amazing:

"Well he'll be going into midfield, unless he goes in as right back to replace hargreaves."

Lo and behold he replaces cole and the team reshuffles hargreaves into midfield with carra at right back.

Motzon went on to congratulate him with:

"That's a good call Mark."

Like he's some kind of football prophet. Indeed, I was surprised Carra didn't replace Rooney up front. Thank god for Lawro's 'insight' otherwise I might have made a right t*** of myself infront of my mates in the pub.

 

And Lawro's 'comedy' impression of Sven when he said 'weeeelllll' in a camp faux swedish accent. He should be burned alive for that.
