On a game-game basis:

 

Jirminy - Never had a problem with the Jirmins. Maybe it's the logical side of me that empathised with their efficient way of playing. Don't care if they lose, but I always have a sneaking favouritism towards them.

 

Pros - None really. Some good players; they're not a bunch of cnts. (though some will disagree)

Cons - None really. S'pose at a push - Ballack being a money-grabbing Chels-b'stard...

 

Sweden - As above. No real love or dislike of them. In this game, I'd just plum for the better side on the day - who's less cynical etc.

 

Pros - few; Larsson, a great player & Ibrahimovic (even though he's a nutter & not as good as people think). They're inoffensive & if they play good footy, I'll happily side with them.

Cons - none.

 

The Argies - I don't particularly like them, nor dislike them. Sort of ambivalent...

 

Pros - Can play f***ing electrifying stuff. Some great players & even Crespo, I don't dislike that much. I have a respect for how clinical he can be.

Cons - none really. That fat nutter in the crowd...?

 

Meh-hi-ko - errrrrr. Just another team. Good players, but they'll get steamrollered here.

 

Pros - Marquez has won me a few points in the fantasy footy...

Cons - none. They're a bit crap really...

 

Ingurlund - Not fussed about them. Good to see our players doing well, s**** to see other teams players doing well. Don't particularly want them to win, but my world doesn't come crashing down when they fail (with guts)

 

Pros - Our lads.

Cons - Neville, Lampard, Beckham....need I go on? "It was the s*n wot won it" etc..........

 

Ecuador - I'd possibly like to go there on holiday....

 

Pros - They're the underdog & have given us some pleasant surprises thus far

Cons - They're not gonna win it. (Mockers well & truly placed there)

 

Portugal - They can play good stuff, but I just am not a fan. Nice place to holiday though

 

Pros - some great players, can play some cracking stuff. Ricardo got me some good fantasy points

Cons - Figo, Placcy

 

Holland - a la Jirminy, but for different reasons - I've always had a soft spot for these drug-loving fools.

 

Pros - Some great players, can play great stuff

Cons - the horse, Robben, the c***. (Unless he signed for us)

 

Italy - maybe it's just me, but I also quite like the Italians. They make good clothes & shoes too.

 

Pros - Style, some great players

Cons - all their players play domestically (though probably not for long), can be tedious f***s

 

Aussies - They play footy?

 

Pros - Underdogs. Kewell

Cons. Viduka, Lucas 'the c***' Neill

 

The Swiss - I'm neutral on this

 

Pros - They play in red

Cons - ....

 

Ukraine - Didn't even know they were a nation. Go ask Putin about it

 

Pros - Sheva (until he dons that blue kit)

Cons - Sheva (unless he breaks his er...contract)

 

BraSil - unlike most, I've never been won over by them. If they can play like the 1970 team, then yay; but they always flatter to deceive. I don't like deception.

 

Pros - Players like Ronaldinho; he's an example to all; he just loves it (a la KK)

Cons - they're never as good as their hype

 

Ghana - sounds patronising, but you've gotta love them; partly because they're the underdogs, but also because they've played some very watchable stuff.

 

Pros - everything

Cons - none

 

Spain - Never had a problem with the Dag....Spanish

 

Pros - our lads

Cons - racist c*** of a manager & large sections of the crowd

 

France - never empathised with these guys either

 

Pros - Djibs - get well soon. ZZ, as he was...

Cons - none really, I'm just biased.

 

 

Who's going to win it? f*** knows. Brasil no longer a shoe-in (IMO), Argentina & Spain peaked too early? That could open the door for the Dutch or Italians....

 

I still can't get past Argentina-Italy & England-Brasil semis though...'MOAN GHANA
