Benitez Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 as it stands: 1 Switzerland 2 1 1 0 2 0 2 4 2 South Korea 2 1 1 0 3 2 1 4 3 France 2 0 2 0 1 1 0 2 4 Togo 2 0 0 2 1 4 -3 0 Hopefully that'll make these 2 games pretty good From the BEEB: Progress Possibilities Togo are eliminated and only have pride to play for against France. France need to win by at least a two goal margin to be certain of reaching the next round. A victory with a margin of one goal may not be enough, if South Korea draw with Switzerland. If the tiebreakers 'goal difference' or 'goals scored' are not decisive, the drawing of lots by the Organising Committee for the World Cup will decide who reaches the last 16.

Guest Sabre Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 (edited) Ah well. I got really good odds a week ago on S Korea to win the group. I've just hedged it with some other bets on France and Switz. Also put £10 on France to win by 2 goals or more. I think the only way that can happen is if France draw nil nil or something.. Edited June 23, 2006 by Sabre
BDB Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 France have not won a wc game outside of France 98 in 20 years! The Korean singing is inspirational...
BDB Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Same ref in the France Togo match as in the US -Italy. So could be fun! 1-0 to the swiss.. Senderos scores. and gets a bloody nose for his troubles.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I'd love it, if this came to drawing lots
DonRafa Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Hope France go thru, for their national anthem if nothing else. Its the best in the world!
Red_Rob Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 France are so breath-takingly s****. Domenech must be the only manager to out stupid Eriksson.
Benitez Posted June 23, 2006 Author Posted June 23, 2006 Hope France go thru, for their national anthem if nothing else. Its the best in the world! I love hearing that anthem, it's great. But I like La Marcha Real, Spain's anthem as well I want France to go through, I like France, although the way they are going, I don't hold out much hope, think they have feced up big style!
surf Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I'd love it, if this came to drawing lots And France lost
BDB Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Ribery is getting in great positions but he's skied 2 or 3 clear chances.. finally after good running by Ribery..Viera scores on his bday
DonRafa Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I love hearing that anthem, it's great. But I like La Marcha Real, Spain's anthem as well I want France to go through, I like France, although the way they are going, I don't hold out much hope, think they have feced up big style! I carn't recall the Spanish anthem - I'll listen out for it Agree about France feccing up - and now their anxiety is making them miss good scoring chances .I fear the game's up for them if they don't score soon. They need a StevieG - big heart - never say die sorta player! Ah, thats better - Paddy just scored a b'day goal. Vive La France!
Benitez Posted June 23, 2006 Author Posted June 23, 2006 Mark Bright - not bright by name is he, talking absolute chite this game he is. DonRafa: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcha_Real - there is a midi-file down the bottom there with a very cheesy version of the Spanish anthem Anyway, comeon now France!
BDB Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 that's the henry we all know..2-0 France. Great work by Viera to head it down for him
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Come on Korea. 1 goal & it goes to the coin
