Your tales of heroism

I was telling a mate the other day about my brother Tony and how as a kid he was always into car engines and stuff to the extent that when on holiday in Wales he started fecking about with a rusted piece of machinery.

Knowing that he could cut himself or summat I threw the engine or whatever it was into the deep part of a river we were playing near. A few minutes later I heard a splash and the silly bugger had gone in water far deeper than he was tall to go and get the bloody thing.

Neither of us could swim so my only choice was to rip up some long nettles and with me holding the stinging leaves hold them out for him to get hold of.

Act of heroism successfully undertaken my Grandad, having heard the screaming, came and gave me a b******ing as my grateful brother, fearing a b******ing himself, told him I'd pushed him in

So if Bonnie Tyler was holding out for a hero what have you done worthy enough to get in her knickers?
