Think you're overstating his impact on the game... don't think he did anything special, but by sticking to the touchline he stretched Tunisia which allowed Spain have a bit more room in the middle of the pitch.

 

Before that with little Luis, Xabi, Xavi and Senna in midfield everythin Spain did came down the middle, which meant it was much easier for Tunisia to close them down and crowd them out. He had a hand in the equalizer alright but I thought Fabregas had far more impact on the game when he came on.
