Our U14's won the New Windsor Plate yesterday, an open 6 a side competition which always attracts top sides. It was a remarkable win, when the draw had been made (To favour the hosts) their group was enough to send shivers down your spine. Having got out of that they went on to win the knockout stages 3-0, 3-0 and the final 1-0. My lad headed out from under our bar in the last minute of the final .

 

We were lwalking up to pick up the trophy just as The Lady Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead finished her speech when my phone went off.

 

Loud and clear,a message from the Gods of football derderderderderderderder.

 

Everybody burst out laughing, my lad stared at me with embarrasment so I gave them a loud personal 'rendition' as he got his medal, just to embarrass him a bit more.
