Herbie von Smalls Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 another nail in the coffin of football justice.
Benzo-13 Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 So not getting Lahm then... Wonder if they were accepted into the G14 would their salubrious poaching be stopped?
Benzo-13 Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Alves will rip him a new one. It'll be a nice Charity Shield for him so...
CarraLegend Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Wonder when they'll set up Utd for a massive spending spree by taking Rooney off them for some ridiculous amount.
Benzo-13 Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Wonder when they'll set up Utd for a massive spending spree by taking Rooney off them for some ridiculous amount. Much as I'd like that to happen in one way and that it'd really show up the Mancs penchant for the $. I think for the league it would be bad.
Guest Cardie Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Good signing for them. While Ballack was a luxury, left back has been a relative weak spot for them and they've solved it by signing one of the top few left backs in the world. Chielini to Arsenal?
Guest Sabre Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I hate Chelsea but it's good work by Arsenal to have such a clause. He wasn't happy at Arsenal.

He's fairly handy. Mind you if they want a left-back they should approach Inter Milan. They've got 4 good ones.
Mike Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 you don't leave arsenal for chelsea though, i agree.what a t***.
LFCNeil90 Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Maybe I'm being extremely negative, but was this set up prior to the world cup or have they been doing it during, do you know?
Ibby Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 given cole's performances in the world cup so far thats very good business by wenger. going forward he is great, but he aint no defender and makes far too many mistakes imo.

stressederic Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 He really is a little s*** isn't he. My Gunner mate won't be to upset, he absolutely loathes him for the way he's whored himself out to Chelsea. £16m sounds like money Wenger will put to good use.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Yeah, Arsenal fans hate him anyway and think Clichy is better.
Zoob Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Another great bit of business for Arsenal. Have Clichy as a ready made, possibly better replacement, and get a nice fat load of cash for a player they paid nothing for. Compared to all the other top sides, Arsenal's net transfer spend over the last 10 years must be absolutely tiny.
Maldini Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 He's a good player alright, I don't think he's as good as he's made out to be though. He'll suit their style of play though, they seem to be after an attacking LB. TBH, I think Del Horno is a good player, he's struggled a little bit, but he's a class act, I'd give him more time to settle.
tag Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 I don't know it's relevant or not, but with Cole & Campbell leaving the Ars*, they do not have any English players anywhere near their 1st team right? I don't think Walcott will be given too much playing time as Enger just bought Rosicky. FWIW, i'm not english and I don't actually care, but for a top English team to not have any english players, that's a bit sad.
