Anyone know much about what the standard's like?

 

Mohammed Ashraful's currently playing as the overseas professional at Rainhill CC. Some of the footage I've seen of the matches isn't too impressive.

 

The fact that he's taken 5 wickets several times despite his stock ball being the long hop is also worrying.

 

Last week he made 202 in a 45 over one day match. Over the two innings there were 105 extras.

 

Suffice to say, there's a few Bangladeshi cricket fans wondering whether he's just wasting his time.

 

I was led to believe that the Liverpool League is actually one of the stronger ones in Lancashire, but it doesn't seem like it.

 

Anyone know much about it?
