Hightown Phil Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 "We read the paper this morning, how true it is, I don't know."
Guest Cally77 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 It's possible, maybe with Kromkamp or Dudek going the other way, but probably bulls***.
G Richards Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Time will reveal all. The link has blown hot and cold for ages, and when that happens there is usually something to it. I'd be happy with Kromkamp and Dudek going the other way, along with around £6M, in order to bring Kuyt in. We would also need a pacy striker too, and the earlier Defoe links seems to have cooled in favour of Bellamy. Kuyt plus either of those would be good business.
Guest Cally77 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I think it would be ten million plus any players.
Guest Les Howard Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 "We read the paper this morning, how true it is, I don't know." what was it you were saying the other day Phil - about signings or medicals or something? It's in one of the other posts.
Benzo-13 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Happy with Kuyt and Bellamy myself.. Good bit of business if both join.
Dalglish Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 It's possible, maybe with Kromkamp or Dudek going the other way, but probably bulls***. While some papers have mentioned Dudek to AZ Alkmaar in a deal worth 1 mio pounds, Alkmaar have also enquired about Croatian keeper Joey Didulica of Austria Wien. Didulica would come a lot cheaper.
Kahnee Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 It's possible, maybe with Kromkamp or Dudek going the other way, but probably bulls***. And that is based on what?
Guest Cally77 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 (edited) And that is based on what? An opinion? Edited June 17, 2006 by Cally77
Guest David Storoy Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I hope it is true. I would love to see Kuyt and Bellamy playing for Liverpool.
Guest sniffer Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 I read in the paper today that RAFA can't afford Kuyt because he can't sell Cisse, so he is going to activate the 6 mln pound clause in Bellamy's contract instead. That's like giving up a Harley Davidson and going for a scooter.

One we know what we are getting, the other could likely be a Kezman as much as he could be a RVN!
Hightown Phil Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 what was it you were saying the other day Phil - about signings or medicals or something? It's in one of the other posts. Alves has had his medical.
liverbird04 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 The echo said liverpool were originally targeting one out of bent/defoe plus someone like kuyt I thought ? with cisse being injured it just means we have to go for a cheaper option in bellamy rather than 10m or more for defoe or bent to go alongside kuyt.

I'd much rather have Kuyt.
vish Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 (edited) This from another Liverpool forum (this is anfield) posted by a Dutch fan Hi Guys , Im from The Netherlands and a Feyenoord supporter and read about Liverpool's interest in our Cult Hero Dirk Kuyt..... I'll give you some info on him as you probably dont know a lot about him.. Dirk started off playing for Fc Utrecht as a right winger and was being played as a striker in his final season there , and because of his sensational performances he was quickly snapped up by Feyenoord for 700.00 pounds . He also has 16 caps for Holland (as a right winger) and he found the net 4 times. Kuyt is reckoned to be worth 17.5 million Euro's (11.5 million pounds) but if you give us Jan Kromkamp in reverse the fee offcourse may be lower as we want Kromkamp badly as we need a good right full back. Dirk Kuyt is quite similar to Alan Shearer. Kuyt is by far the fittest football player in Holland and is the hardest working striker I have ever seen. Dirk Kuyt has only missed 1 League match in the past 5 years as you can see below and he is never injured !! He also is a leader as he is Feyenoord's captain . Dirk is not the fastest player in the world but his will power takes him very far. He's a lethal finisher and creates an amazing amount of goals for the team as well. He can hold up play very well because he is very strong. His weaker points are his first touch and his left foot is not very good. His heading could also do with some improving (not as much as the other 2 points) Here are some stats of him.... 1998/99 FC Utrecht 28 5 Eredivisie 1999/00 FC Utrecht 32 6 Eredivisie 2000/01 FC Utrecht 32 13 Eredivisie 2001/02 FC Utrecht 34 7 Eredivisie 2002/03 FC Utrecht 34 20 Eredivisie 2003/04 Feyenoord 34 20 Eredivisie - 8 assists 2004/05 Feyenoord 34 29 Eredivisie - 13 assists !! 2005/06 Feyenoord 33 22 Eredivisie - 18 assists !! As you can see Dirk Kuyt has been a major players for Feyenoord having a hand in 110 goals in 101 games !! Edited June 17, 2006 by Vish
Knox_Harrington Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 What paper?That's the question on everyone's lips.
