I said i'd never become part of the statistic, never be a t*** but standing there in the first half listening to people criticise Crouch and Gerrard and blame them for the shocking performance of the England side..i flipped. Thanks to the girl and her friends who walked up and backed me up, said i had every right to question someone's loyalties as they took the piss out of someone they had worshipped only 10 days earlier.

 

f*** off you Sun reading, piss drinking w*****. How i laughed as said fool scored the opener.

some fella from Leeds was slating Crouchy throughout - "Get. Him. Off, the lanky streak of piss" etc

 

so I asked who should be playing ahead of him

you should steer clear of Newcastle-Online forum then Stuffy :) Many there seemed to have decided that the reason England are playing s**** football is cos of Crouch, and the reason Owen is playing so poorly is Crouchy's fault as well :D

Well they obviously know what they're talking about then...

 

England's main problem is they have no direction. Sven and McLaren are tactically inept and only ever try to change games through substitutions.

 

England play like 11 men sent out on to the pitch having had 5 minutes preparation and when teams put 10 men behind the ball they struggle because Beckham would rather pass a ball 60 yards than make an unselfish run into the box.

Get over yourselves and allow people to support their country without trying to make them feel guilty or like they are some form of low life, would you do the same if they were fans of any other country? The answer to that is no..so get over you England phobia, nobody is making you watch the games or read the papers or go in the pubs, if you don't like it don't do what i have just mentioned and allow those of us who want to enjoy supporting our country do so without your small minded crap you come out with. Anyway I'm not going to read any world cup threads as they are normally full of comments written by anti english idiots.

idiots ,the reason Owen is playing s*** is because he basicaly hasnt had a run in games in nearly 2 years now, so he hasnt been sharp since he left us, and dare i say, he wasn`t exactly tearing the house down when he left us in the s***

 

as for the england team playing crap, its simple, they have a s***head clueless manager with little or no tactical nouse, and even less in the balls department to change a game, there was about 20 million people could have decided the substitutions he made yesterday, so they can hardly be called a masterclass

 

it doesnt help that the best premiership player is played out of position, but lets not forget, Gerrard doesnt do the donkey work for us, so even he was to play further up for ingurland, who`d clean up the mess?????

 

face it lads, the english team isnt all its cracked up to be, and with Mclarne in charge, it`ll be this s*** for the next 4 years

 

great for us irish though, i love seeing the blind faith being ripped from your hearts by the dreaded penalty shootout, i never get bored of seeing you lot lose, slag me all you like, but you cant honestly disagree with any of my point there, not 1 bit :D

Football fandom at major championships is all about being gloriously lowest common denominator.

 

The spitfires and helmets are hilarious, and along with what was dropped on Dresden in 45, it's the only language the Krauts understand.

I've watched a spanish game with spanish friends

An Argentinian game with Argie friends

A dutch game with 2 dutch friends amongst other nationalities - each game a pleasure to watch.

 

I spent the England game listening to English people slag off and insult their own English players, arguing amongst themselves

and trying to provoke fans of the other country. I have an English passport but we really are w*****s.
