I seen Lahm play a few years ago and thought he was gonna be class. Doubt Chelsea are buying him just on the back of this tournament.

Lahm is a very good attacking fullback. Which is why it'd surprise me that this is who Maurenho wants - cos he doesn't really seem to want his fullbacks to be that attacking.

 

Mind you, he signed Del Horno, who's another good attacking full back....

Mourinho was quoted as saying that Carlos is the best left back in the world still and has spoken at length about how much he wants to sign him. Sounds to me that is one transfer that is definitely Mourinho motivated.
