My French is terrible, but I believe this is new news, not from before his injury, apologies if it is.

In addition to to have found a trainer, we are able to affirm you that Djibril Cissé will be Olympian the next season. Indeed, the Olympian club and Liverpool agreed for a loan with option to buy. It is thus the phocéenne team which turned to full mode at the end of the last season which will begin the championship, reinforced with Zubar and Valbuena while waiting for the re-entry of the probable future Olympian pet: Cissé himself!

Is that Lyon or Marseille? They both have Olympian appendages on their names don't they?

Does it mean he's goin there on loan next season?

i work with a couple of marseille fans, they reckon the deal is deffo on. they're still trying to agree the fee for a permanent move (they think it will be 11m euros) and that will be dependent on marseille making the CL. they're not happy about it!

Djibril Cissé à l'OM

Cissé avec Ribéry à l'OM ? (L'Equipe)

AND THE GOOGLE TRANSLATION

Djibril Cissé with the OM Cissé with Ribéry with the OM? (the Team) A one year loan with option to buy, the Olympic one of Marseilles and Liverpool agreed to make it possible Djibril Cissé to join the club of its heart the next season. According to the Team of Friday which reveals information, the signature of the player would intervene in a few days. Cissé currently rests in England, in its residence, after its operation of the leg following its fracture tibia-fibula undergone at the time of France-China (3-1), last friendly match of Blue before the World cup. The attacker will approach Marseilles then. It will take especially, initially, the direction of Saint-Raphaël, in the VAr, where it will begin his rehabilitation. Its absence of the grounds is estimated at four or five months. In 2004, for the same diagnosis, but in the left leg, Cissé had returned at the end of five months. This terrible wound of the one of the 23 Blue ones selected by Raymond Domemech for this World cup probably never called into question its transfer within the club phocéen. The OM would have been simply ensured, since this blows dealt by fate, that its unavailability would not exceed five months. Cissé will have to bear its troubles patiently by waiting until October. By then, international French will know if it will have the occasion, or not rejouer, as at the time of the match vis-a-vis the UNFP, at the sides of a certain Franck Ribéry strongly had a presentiment of in Lyon.

If we agree a deal with L'OM for Cisse to go next year, there's no reason why we can't spend that money this summer, knowing it's coming in next year. Short term loan?

To amuse myself I sometimes wander onto the dodgy rumours site - I know, large pinch of salt n all that. Anyways after trawling thru all the LFC related dross i came across this snippet....

"Liverpool are NOT after aimar...i can confirm this as i have very reliable sources, one thing for sure is that rafa already has a deal in place for pennant and yesterday made a £9 mil bid for brazilian wonderkid Kerlon"

Apparantly this kid is the next big thing for Brazil u17 - could we have another name in the hat?

Feel free to pour scorn I should know better...

No contact from Liverpool for youngster

Liverpool are not interested in signing Real Zaragoza midfielder Alberto Zapater according to the players agent.

He said: "What I and what he wants is to continue negotiating.

"Zapater wants to remain and we are not listening to any offers. I have an order from the player to not speak with other clubs.

"All the talk saying that we are waiting for Liverpool or Valencia is false. I repeat that Alberto wants to remain and that he is wishing to reach an agreement.

"The player has not asked for anything that he does not deserve."

Reds reject Aimar chance

Liverpool are believed to have rejected the chance of signing Pablo Aimar and will now likely step up their efforts to sign Alberto Zapater from Real Zaragoza.

The Reds' decision not to move for Aimar could very well bolster their prospects of landing Zapater - as Real Zaragoza are favourites to land the Argentinian.

Aimar's agent Gustavo Mascardi is less than enamoured about Valencia's offer to Liverpool.

"We have confirmation about offers with several clubs, this situation is incredible because Valencia did not speak with us," he said.

Spanish sources suggest Zaragoza could now land Aimar for around ?10 million and Mascardi confirmed: "There is an interest."

One issue over Zapater could be the fact that Valencia also want him and they could very well ask for him as part of the Aimar deal.

Liverpool's new chief scout Eduardo Macia - who has replaced Paco Herrara - is understood to be working on the issue of Zapater with Rafa Benitez.

Meanwhile, Mascardi confirmed that another one of his charges at Valencia - Roberto Ayala - could sign an extension in the near future.

"The president has promised Ayala a few more years on his contract and we are looking at this," he said.

"There are no problems and we have begun talking."
