I pop my head round the lounge door the other day and my son (who's only 10) is lying on the floor thumbing through a guide to the world cup; teams, players, stats etc.

 

As he's doing so he's passing flippant "kevin the teenager" comments about some of the headlines in the guide.

 

Thought I'd share a few because, for 10, I thought it was pricless.

Frank Lampard, One of the Worlds Finest Midfielders - "WHAT! Not fit to lace Gerrards boots" Flicks page in disgust.

 

Xabi Alonso - "Legend!!" Turns page precisely.

 

Jamie carragher - "We should have a team full of him" Turns page precisely

 

Andriy Shevchenko - "Sold out, see Kaka" Flicks page in disgust

 

Steven Gerrard - "I'd swap you for no-one, not even Jodie"(bird he fancies at school

 

I could go on but I'm lughing so much thinking back.

My boy has just turned 3 and when i say "what do you want to do when you grow up" he will say " I want to go to school when i grow up" and then I say "yeah but after you finnish school" so he goes "I want to player for liverpool"
