Gilps Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Shades of 98? Ronaldo has tests over headaches Brazil striker Ronaldo visited a clinic on Wednesday complaining of dizziness and headaches - but is expecting to train as normal on Thursday. The Brazilian football association (CBF) said the 29-year-old underwent a medical check-up during the visit. The CBF website said: "No abnormality was found. Ronaldo is, therefore, in normal conditions for training." Ronaldo was criticised for his display in Brazil's 1-0 victory over Croatia in their World Cup game on Tuesday. He was ineffectual against the Croats and was jeered as he was replaced by Robinho after 69 minutes. Brazilian media criticised the Real Madrid striker for his display, with former Brazil striker Tostao calling his performance "weird". Ronaldo has been hindered by a series of nagging injuries this season. His last game for Madrid was on 8 April, when he limped off after one hour with an injury to his right thigh. But Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has said he will start with Ronaldo again in the team's next match against Australia on Sunday. The striker, who needs only one goal to surpass Pele as Brazil's all-time leading World Cup goalscorer, forms part of a 'magic quartet' of attacking players, along with Ronaldinho, Adriano and Kaka. Ronaldo suffered a mystery illness shortly before the 1998 final against France and put in a poor display in Brazil's 3-0 defeat in Paris.

sean Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 I'd hoped we'd buy that big lump of dirt next season. Wouldn't be too disappointed if we didn't, the great big eejit.
