There were a load of monkeys shown on TV this morning filmed last night singing that oh-so-funny "no surrender to the IRA." WTF's going through the minds of people like that? They go to Germany to support their team and sing pathetic songs about the IRA! They still sing "5-1, even Heskey scored" and we aren't playing Germany. At least there's no plans to. Ambassadors for our country? WE were great ambassadors in Istanbul but these morons in Germany? Words fail me.

How dare they enjoy themselves.

if some irish punters danced through warrington with some toy bombs and chanting bout Jonathon Ball and tim Parry....i doubt youd be quite as understanding of their need for a little fun.

The 'no surrender' chants are hilarious. Like they have a say in what any right wing loyalist groups will or won't be surrendering to. Idiots.

Much as I can't stomach the Mancs, most of them feel the same way as we do about Enguuurland.

The general Enguuurland fan are Cockneys and/or follow small time clubs.

Meanwhile another lazy stereotype was trotted out as some scousers were seen raiding Lacoste shops throughout Bavaria whilst leaving every Mercedes they could find up on bricks...

There's a fair representation from across the country following England and always has been, regardless of the bullsh*t anti-england posturing going on.

The vast majority we met in Germany at the weekend were northern - including 3 (actual) Mancs.

From places like Yorkshire, Lancs, Newcastle, etc. Plus a few from Kidderminster, Northampton. Not a cockney in sight - although I suppose they probably all went to the wrong Frankfurt.

I've heard that a fairly large group of Australian fans, fans who seem to be pretty classless for a bunch of bandwagon jumping twits, were heard to chant things like "Hiroshima" and "Bring back the A-Bomb" at the Japanese fans, amongst other things. This was at a major outdoor showing in Melbourne that someone I know went to. I've also read similar complaints in today's newspaper.

The point is that every country has their set of ignorant and nasty fans. Yes AUSSIEred, even the thick Aussies. I think it's really something that deserves as little attention as possible.

Why are loads of pubs in Liverpool packed out if its just southerners? Reds and blues.

Maybe because Scousers just want to watch football, any football?

I bet there were no "Ingerlund till I die" or "no surrender" songs going on.

I don't know, I don't bother going into the pubs cause there are loads of nobs in there, last time I went in for an England match I saw someone stand up on a table when Beckham appeared, kiss their badge and say he loved him.

I also know that a riot broke out though for the Paraguay game.

So why aren't people allowed to do both because there are plenty of people that do both, your post is pretty arrogant and ill informed. i think it's wrong to have a go and belittle decent England fans who have spent a lot of money to follow their country. I haven't gone to Germany but i'm proud to support my country and actually find it a bit sad when people don't.

The point is that loads don't do both. They travel to Germany with their Port Vale or Grimsby flags but don't go week in week out. They don't even go the match in Germany!

In my opinion it's all a bit small time. And after watching that garbage today I'm glad I don't care about the national side or any form of nationalism. I don't know what feeling English is but I don't feel it.

I can't wait for them to get knocked out so we can watch the football without the hysteria.

Because non-football types hear the hype and follow like sheep. They don't understand the game or get the emotion. They get legless then start arguments about nothing. I couldn't be bothered trying to explain the finer points to people like that.

I watched it a home as well, I can't bear being around Ingerlund wallahs. There was one puking in the street as I brought my lad back from swimming at 8.15 tonight.

So supporting your own country and having feeling your own country is small time..really i think its sad you don't have any feeling for the side representing your country.

Thanks but I don't want your sympathy. Is it obligatory? I don't feel part of England, never have. I was born in Liverpool which in my opinion is in England but not of it.

If people want to support another team, England, that's up to them. And what I find small time is the fans and their attitudes, crappy songs and lack of genuine football knowledge.

Is that why they did not put the big screen in Liverpool today? Because none of you follow England? They said its because there was trouble after the first game. Probably Mancs that travelled to your city to watch it.

" Engand til i die, i'm England til i die, i know i am, i'm sure i am.."

Oh shut the f*** up you f***ing knuckle dragger

 and if you sing Liverpool til I die?

I was talking to some scousers on holiday in my local last night. I told them about this forums members views on England. They were gobsmacked and words like "Knobs" and "Tossers" were used.

I found it quite funny, cause I thought this forum was the voice of the Liverpool nation. Not so they said.

Oh well.

Ah I get it now. It's totally excusable. It's just a bit like how the bitters couldn't possibly enjoy themselves without singing 'murderers' at us, yeah?
