I want our lads to do well, but there's also a part of me that wants them to get knocked out early and well rested up before next season.

how good is david villa? i've not really seen him play.

 

 

he was excellent at Valencia this season until the last few games when he lsot his way a bit - partly due to the fact that he was given a massive new contract and pay rise that led to other 'superstars' within the dressing room getting narked consequently leading to a lack of decent assists from his so-called team mates and tantrums on and off the pitch

 

Likes to run at defenders down the right and cut inside. Good header of the ball. Has a propensity to drift in and out of games. very good at poaching goals inside the box.

 

IMHO - I think he isn't compatible with Torres - but What the f eck do I know?

interesting. the london metro paper this morning (staffed by daily mail writers i should point out) likened him to robbie fowler and ruud van nistelrooy.

I'm a big fan of David Villa. I've seen him about 10 times this season and my impression is that he's a deadly goalscorer with a lot more in his locker than just goals. Very fast and a pretty hard worker with a few tricks up his sleeve. In some games he seems to go past defenders like they weren't even there.
