CarraLegend Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 (edited) f***ing hell, what a prick. He makes me even more thanful to have Mr Moores. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/index.php?page_id=10230 CHAIRMAN HAILS HERO TIMBy: Scott McLeod Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright has hailed the goalscoring heroics of Tim Cahill after the Blues' midfielder netted two dramatic late goals to guide Australia to a superb World Cup victory over Japan. The Socceroos were trailing 1-0 when Cahill entered the fray in the side's opening Group F game with a little over 30 minutes remaining. He made a huge impact, netting Australia's first ever goal in a World Cup finals to level the scores with six minutes remaining before rifling in another even more spectacular effort five minutes later to inspire a 3-1 victory. And as well that he even managed to earn a booking and escape conceding a penalty with a rash challenge in his own area. Cahill inspired the turnaround - that was rounded off by a late John Aloisi goal - and the Everton Chairman was watching with pride. He told evertonfc.com: "Don't you just love him! He gives you everything in the last 15 minutes of a game that you wouldn't expect from somebody during the full 90 minutes. "He got two goals when it seemed a goal wouldn't or couldn't come for the Aussies. There was also a blatant penalty decision which he gets away with whilst at the same time looking at the referee with those big innocent eyes and arms wide open. "It was a performance that will get him into the Aussie history books and not to mention our history books (as the fifth Everton player to score in a World Cup finals). But he has already proved to be a legend at Goodison Park during the few years he has been with us. "From the first time I met him in my office with David Moyes I felt we were looking at a future Everton star. And how good is it now to hear the World Cup top scorer is currently Tim Cahill of Everton." Cahill is the tournament's joint top scorer with Klose of Germany, Bravo of Mexico, Rosicky of the Czech Republic and Wanchope of Costa Rica on two goals. Edited June 14, 2006 by CarraLegend

Guest Kaizer Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I read in a Norwegian newspaper yesterday that Riise and Cahill are neighbours and good mates, JAR often babysits for Cahill when he and the missus are going out. He said he was a real nice guy, but special as well
CarraLegend Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 luvvie w*****.. and if he's proved to be a "legend" at the ground that's made of wood then they're fkin scraping the barrel.. jesus.. Can you imagine Moores coming out with all this s**** if Kewell scored two? It just wouldn't happen, it's horrendous. They'll probably invent the "Tim Cahill" trophy now where if one of their crap players gets two goals in a game he gets to keep it on his mantlepiece for a week and is exempt from washing the kit for a month.
Stevie H Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 they're just chuffed to have a player in the world cup at all. nuno valente has already said that he's using the world cup as a shop window to get a move to a big club.

Guest Kaizer Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 (edited) never knew he hada missus! JAR says in the article that one of Cahill`s children are at the same age as his daughter, so when she is over she use to play with cahills children, he also says that when Cahill and his wife sometimes goes out he use to babysit for their children, but I dont know, its not exactly such a big deal, my point was that maybe Cahill actually is a decent bloke even if he is playing for the bitters.
