Hi Phorum,

 

Was wondering how you drifted into this area of research... Got very close when I was at Uni, very close indeed but then changed tack somewhat.

 

Had quite a few course mates who went further but have lost sight of the work since then (late 70s). Any thoughts on what comes next for you?

 

 

One reason I shifted was an offer I had to do a Phud with a nutcase who was heavily into Hepatitis virii. Something told that this was not the wisest of ares to be working on and, pre-AIDS, about the scariest stuff allowed in a normal lab. He wanted me to look at how rat liver cell membranes changed shape when infected...

 

I ended up teaching. Safer and better paid.
