Thought it would be a good idea to have one post where everyone can compare and keep track of their bets.

 

I don't really bet that much, but I thought I'd stick a few quid on a load of games this time around to make things more interesting.

 

Todays bets, done at about 1.30

 

England to beat Paraguay ?10 @ 1.67 - won 6.70

Sweden to beat T&T ?20 @ 1.24 - lost ?20

Argentina to beat Ivory Coast - ?10 @ 1.78 - not played yet

 

I kinda covered myself in the Sweden game though, around the 70 minute mark I put:

 

?10 on the draw @ 2.9: won ?19 and

 

?6 on a 1-0 Swedish victory @2.7: lost ?6

 

so it meant if Sweden won I'd win around the same and if it was a draw I'd lose about ?7.

 

So my running total at the moment is: lost ?1

 

I've also put ?10 each on Ronaldo and David Villa to be top goalscorer at odds of 10.5 and 55 respectively

Up £20

 

Bet £1 on sweden half time sweden full time - lost

bet £1 on sweden win 4-0 - really lost

£1 on crespo being 1st scorer- won £4.50

Argies to win 2-0 at £1 - lost

Argies to win £2.50- won

UP £21 at the end plus one of my£10 bets wasa free bet so for£10 outlay made £31. could have made a fortune today but I can't bet big money way too tight

?3 euro up on ?56 of bets today.

 

I'm a bit like that. Drogba next goal scorer at 12-1 rescued an otherwise very poor two days and put me about a fiver ahead. Still fuming at the 33-1 Ayala first goalscorer denied by the officials.

Had a little accumulator England, Sweden, Aregentina...

 

Sweden f***ed it up. Cant believe they drew with Trinidad.. thats just shocking.

 

Ditto - ?10 down the down the drain on that treble. I reckon I'll sniff around the daily matches rather than outright betting (although I've the Argies in my work sweep, so I'm cheering for them at the moment).

Are you allowed have a bet like that?

 

I can recall trying to place a similar bet in a previous tournament (think it was France to win, Henry to be top scorer) and the bookies wouldnt asllow it as it was a `related` bet.

 

In other words the chances of the player being top scorer is much greater when he's playing for the team that wins the tournament.

 

Am I right about this ?

You can place the bet but it is not a true double as they both influence each others success so the bookies drop the odds accordingly

 

Just got on Van Nistellroy and Torres for tourny top scorers each way

Today's bets:

 

?4 on Serbia @ 4.6

?10 on Portugal @ 1.37

?10 on draw in Serbia - Holland game @ 3.25

Layed ?10 @ 1.77 on Mexico

 

I've been thinking of laying a tenner on there being a red card in every game, I'm thinking you'd have to come out on top throughout the whole tournament.

I had holland 2-0 with van nistlehorse as first scorer - lost already

Holland halftime / fulltime

 

Mexico - Iran 1-1

 

And portugal to beat angola 3-0

Just put ?10 on a couple of Acca's Brazil/France and Brazil/Czech Republic, what's the betting the Brazilians will lose now :)

I've got a £5 accumalator on the following teams to win their opening games:

 

Germany - won

England - won

Argentina - won

Mexico - find out soon!

Portugal - find out tonight

Italy - tomorrow

France - Tuesday

Brazil - Tuesday

 

£115 if the remaining five sides win. Mexico and Portugal victories tonight would be sweet to keep it going.

Bet £20 on England which I won but then lost that and the winnings on Sweden...

 

First up to day £20 on Holland. Pointless doing trebles.

 

 

You generally do get stung alright, but they are sweet when they come through.
