there were several long-range shots where that new ball just took off and deviated in flight. methinks this is going to be a high-scoring competition with an abundance of 30 yards+ screaming rockets

the odd thing was on the slo-mo you could see that there was no spin on the ball, it was struck pretty straight,.

 

Could be good for Stevie and beckham, and of course lampard who'll deflect it in off something.

Never really been a fan of Lehmann, he's had a good season, but I don't rate him as a world class keeper.

 

Can't really fault him for either of the goals today though. Could possibly have done better on the second one but his defence have left him completely exposed.
