Figaro Posted June 9, 2006 Author Posted June 9, 2006 He'll still play I know but I couldn't resist momentarily raising the hopes of everyone who got Spain in their sweepstakes
Guest JamesA Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I know but I couldn't resist momentarily raising the hopes of everyone who got Spain in their sweepstakes Which poor sods ended up with something like that...
Leo No.8 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 They'd wheel Raul round the pitch on his gurney if he broke his leg...
RedHarvest Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Does this mean Villa will start? Got him in my fantasy team.
Morgul Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Do you know how bad it is? Will he only miss one or two games or the whole WC?
McBain Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Does this mean Villa will start? Got him in my fantasy team. Me as well And Joaquin. What was I thinking!
Guest Sabre Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Anyone got any team news on Spain? Will Fabregas and Luis Garcia start?
Figaro Posted June 12, 2006 Author Posted June 12, 2006 Raul looking increasingly doubtful to start - apparently his 'team mates' have been sliding in with the studs up in training, not once but THREE times in the same sesion
Guest Sabre Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Do you reckon Luis Garcia and Fabregas will start, Fig?

Figaro Posted June 12, 2006 Author Posted June 12, 2006 (edited) Do you reckon Luis Garcia and Fabregas will start, Fig? Both have a decent chance - I personally think Raul will be on the bench and the old senile git will start with Torres and Villa or Torres and Luis up front Joaquin on the flank. Possible midfield of Senna, Xabi, Xavi and Joaquin. Put money on Spain conceeding - Casillas is in auto-destruct mode - he has been ever since he started dating the model - his form has gone to pieces - he will stop everything thrown at him and then make the silliest mistake to concede. Aragones would be the most stupid Danish King going if he doesn't play Xabi and Iniesta. Edited June 12, 2006 by Figaro

Figaro Posted June 12, 2006 Author Posted June 12, 2006 Stupider than the Danish King called Eriksson and his genius ideas regarding Gerrard? At least Spain's other options are still Senna, Xavi and Fabregas. but at least you know that Eriksson will also do a 'Calcionnato' because it's in his nature - scraping a 1-0 win. Whereas Luis Aragones hasn't got a fe cking clue...as well as being a confirmed racist, bigot and c nut
sean Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 What a fantastic blend of a central midfield pairing they've got there. Can't wait tosee how Alonso gets on at this world cup. His experience in England will help him no end.
Tetti Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I cant track down, which of my internet betting accounts has my Spain bet Anyway off to tescos to give my shirt a public airing. And in further news, M and S are doing Sangria by the bottle. I had to buy one, just in case I ran out of the Caceres stuff.
Figaro Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 And in further news, M and S are doing Sangria by the bottle. I had to buy one, just in case I ran out of the Caceres stuff. I've taken the hint darling I'll dig out some bottles from the cellar for you when you're over - will be a pleasure. Sangria by the bottle? Sounds....errr dodgy
Philby Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I couldn't resist having a speculative £10 on little Luis popping up with the first goal. If he's given licence to roam I wouldn't put it past the little scamp
