The BBC's live streaming of games could be a trigger for prosecutions. "We make no distinction between those watching TV via PC-TV, broadband or any other way. If you are watching TV at the same time as it is being broadcast in the UK you need to be covered by a valid licence." Just how are they going to police this? Surely the only people they can go after are the people hosting the streams etc. Back when you needed a TV in order to watch anything I can understand the need for a licence, but with content available on PCs, mobile phones etc, it seems a bit daft.
