Something I have seen coming for a long time, Hamann would never be satisfied with the amount of playing time he got last season.

 

Wonder who the replacement will be, I have a few names in mind that would do a good job and dont expect to be playing week in and week out for us at the moment.

Good luck to him. I think he's a bit of a legend to be honest. Played such a huge part in us winning cup after cup.

 

May I also add, I've sort of had an inkling he would leave for a while now. We've been linked with a fair few central midfielders recently.

Hamann's a legend, an integral part of our treble season team and the Champions League winning team. He's a great signing for Bolton and i'm sad to see him go so soon, i'd have hoped he'd stay another season.

I would have kept him on as his experience is valuable, but I can also see Rafa's reasons for letting him go. We need someone in that position who can play more than 15/20 games a season.
