Just get a TV with a good response time, this is in milliseconds and is basically what determines how fast it processes images. If you have a slow response time you are likely to get 'ghosting' (blurring). Ideally look for a TV with 8ms or lower.

Make sure the TV has a good selection of inputs. HDMI, DVI, component, S-Video etc. Some TV's offer two HDMI inputs which will be crucial if you plan on getting Sky HD and a PS3/upscaling DVD player... DVI will be handy for yer PC to be plugged into but you can buy DVI to HDMI converters.

Finally a decent contrast ratio is ideal. A high contrast ratio is better as it means the image will be more distinct and blacks will be more black.

but as posted before, avforums is a great place for info.
