Andy-oh-six Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Liverpool have today confirmed that manager Rafael Benitez has signed a brand new four year deal to remain in charge of the Reds. Benitez announced his intention to remain with the club towards the end of last season and he has now officially put pen to paper on his new contract. The Liverpool boss has achieved great success in his short time with the club so far and has become the first manager in the club's illustrious history to win major trophies in each of his first two seasons at Anfield. The deal represents a one year extension to his original contract and will ensure he remains on Merseyside until 2010. He said: "I'm delighted to have now signed the contract," Benitez said. "There was never going to be a problem once we reached an agreement last season, and now all the documents have been signed and sent to the club. "I'm very happy at Liverpool and hope we can enjoy more success in the seasons to come." Rafa contract

Hmmm. translation: There was never a doubt about Rafa signing this contract, once he and Rick Parry agreed on it last season. IE - he wasn't going to back out of it and change his mind.

vish Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 If I were Mr. Benitez and I came on here and saw 1.5 pages about my signing of the new contract and numerous numerous pages about pennant for eg I dont think I would be pleased. Does everything have to be a debate. Can people just not post positive comments You're Wacko Jacko, and I claim my £5.
