we were in slow traffic.....I glanced to my left and double took as I saw him driving some kind of 4x4......he looked and put his thumbs up smiling...I did the same back

I totally agree with you, he is a legend and I just wish that he was coming back to us. What from I've read on the forum it looks like we're getting Defoe, a poor man's MO (that's not to say that I won't support him if he signs )

Couldn't care less to be honest. A real Liverpool FC legend would not have behaved in the way he did to get his "dream move" out of the club.

He didn't do it behind our backs. He was upfront and honest about it, and showed the respect to the club that you expect from a liverpool legend.

If he'd put his stock in the current manager instead of blowing it all on "white" he might well be a legend now. Brilliant player and striker that made a horrendous career decision but I still think we would've won the European Cup with him.

 

Think his injuries will eventually start to shorten his shelf-life as a footballer, but gave us some unbelieveable memories.

 

Carra and Gerrard will prove the real deal in my book.

Owen lost 'legend' status when he left like he did. Fowler may not have won us a competition by himself, but a legend is more than a player who wins things. he is a player with character, integrity and morals.
