No I think so to.

 

He's got the ability, there's no doubting that.

 

I also, like many on here, don't think he was 'poor' after the turn of the year - some of his performances in the Champions League were excellent; leading the line all on his own. His finishing in the 2nd half of the season remained poor however, but it's as much about confidence and luck as it is about natural ability. Two inches to the left and it was a goal against Chelsea (at Stamford Bridge). One inch to the left and it was a goal against Juve (Turin). etc etc...

Seeing as Betis have a total budget of 24 million Euros for the 2006-2007 season - not a cent more. I'd be surprised if he does go there. He'd probably be taking a big pay drop. I think a lot will depend on the sale of Joaquin and/or Olivera.

 

They have serious hidden debt problems and their president (now publically 'ex-president' but still pulling the strings from his coffin-like tomb in la calle Jabugo) has just escaped going to jail only on the condition of paying a massive sum to the Tax people.

 

There are strong rumours going round that after Don Manuel the Vampire has paid up the tax people will be back for even more.
