i maintain though that as a young 'un World Cups seemed to have that magical sparkle as a specatacle. Maybe a familiarity with the overseas players these days makes it less so, who knows?

His long range passing in that Socceraid thing was class. Just thought I'd throw that into the mix.

 

I was born in 77 but 86 was the first world cup I remember, 82 came a little too soon. I reckon Panini sticker albums are responsible for getting kids majorly hooked on World Cups at around that age.

 

1990 was class too, I must've drawn that mascot on my school books about 100 times!
