Trezeguet and Zlatan being steadily linked with moves away. Thuram and Vieria also, while the speculation is that Nedved may retire after the World Cup.

Oh and Juve are looking at hiring Sampadoria's manager if they do get relegated.

I don't see the point of them being relegated to Serie B...they'll be back up after one season. They should be demoted to the lowest professional league in Italian football.

the repurcussions are significant even if it is for one season. for the next two seasons, they will not gain any UEFA co-efficient points, TV revenue will be lower, and no euro money. Any player at their peak will not want to give up 2 years of CL footy.

Assuming they keep a core of players and come back up, they will still need to get players in, and those that took their place in the CL and UEFA cups will have strengthened too.

this could be the best thing to happen in Italian football.

Now if only we could find something similar for Chelsea and Manu...

There's rumours he's considering retiring after the World Cup.

We should be able to get him cheap then - £130 a week pension.

There is no way Juve and Milan will be relegated, they should but won't. It would ruin Italian football, something which i'm guessing the italian FA wouldn't be too keen on.

Yes, that's exactly what happened when the talian FA found Milan and Lazio guilty in 1980.

We should tell him not to, and offer him loads of money.

He's no doubt heard that pensions are s*** in this country though

They didn't seem to mind relegating Fiorentina for mere 'financial mis-managment' a few year ago.

They'll do something - huge points deductions maybe- if only to show the FIFA and UEFA that they're in control of their country's football.

I'm not sure relegation will hurt Juve as much as everyone thinks; Their fanbase throughout Italy is immense - they played to packed houses from Parma to Palermo when they did a season's 'tour' of Italy a while back.

It is, it's p*ss-poor due to local apathy towards the Stadio Delle Alpi.

Juve are Italy's 'unofficial' national side, so the TV interest will always be there: When their stadium was being redeveloped, they played some of their 'home' matches in various stadiums around the country (San Siro, Genoa etc) and sold-out easily. (I think they once held the record attendance at the San Siro) .

Bill Odie has recently provided the following picture of one of the more common vultures to be found scouring the continent during the summer months, looking for rotting flesh and over priced players.
