jimmylibel Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Kenyon was quoted as saying that Chelsea would be signing two exciting young players - obviously Mikel is one, anyone heard who the other could be?

Guest JV Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Kenyon was quoted as saying that Chelsea would be signing two exciting young players - obviously Mikel is one, anyone heard who the other could be?does Tevez count?
Guest Anders Honoré Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 wtf. Fantastic deal for anyone but Chelsea who could care less. Had it been any other club, he would be hyped beyond belief by his price tag. There, he is just another talented youngster bought for what was needed to get him.
Maldini Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Kenyon was quoted as saying that Chelsea would be signing two exciting young players - obviously Mikel is one, anyone heard who the other could be?Could be Tevez, Aguero or Daniel Sturridge
Jezzman Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Could be Tevez, Aguero or Daniel Sturridge hope it isn't Aguero.... he's bound for LFC
jimmylibel Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Could be Tevez, Aguero or Daniel Sturridge I don't think they would could Tevez as a 'youngster' at this stage - not when they'll have to pay 20 odd million for him. And I thought I read last week that Sturridge has signed a 3 year deal with City.

bigdave50uk Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Heard he's almost certainly on his way there alright, but again, does he actually count as a young player?yeah wasnt to sure of that myself given his experience but he is only 20 so maybe
LondonLiverpoolFan Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 The world has gone mad.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...sea/5043096.stm Chelsea have agreed a transfer deal for Nigerian youngster Jon Obi Mikel. The Premiership champions will pay a combined £16m transfer fee for Mikel, with £12m going to Manchester Untied and £4m to Norwegian club Lynn Oslo. The agreement resolves the future of the 19-year-old, who has been the subject of a bitter dispute between the three clubs. United have agreed "to terminate their option agreement" with Mikel, whose registration goes to Chelsea. "Under the terms of this agreement Chelsea will pay Manchester United £12m, half payable now and half in 12 months, and Lyn £4m, half payable now, and half payable in 12 months' time," said a United statement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chelsea's finances are beyond a joke.
Guest JV Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Thats given Ginsoak some money to play with. Not bad for a player who has never played for them.
Ginu Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 (edited) so much for money not growing on trees EDIT: P.S. if anybody finds that tree, please email me Edited June 2, 2006 by Ginu
Stevie H Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 C*nts have bought their way out of punishment AGAIN! This is a joke. United are worse mugs, they should've hung them!totally. worst thing to happen to football in f***ing years is abramovich.
smithdown Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 They get £12m out of them though, not bad for a player they missed out on. Crazy stuff. They were banging on about principles and getting them in all sorts of lumber over it though, weren't they? Mad talk of 'kidnappings' and all that... Still, 12m seems to have shut them up nicely though.

It would have been nice to see them put their foot down but to be honest they've made £10m for doing f*** all. No club would turn that down
floyd Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Having played a few games for Nigeria, will he get a work permit? Will those games count for more than 75% of Nigeria's games since his debut? Never mind though as he's now with the Chelsea set, so he'll have no problem. (he wouldn't have had a problem at the Mancs also, Tim Howard and "Bubba" Fortune, being the evidence for the prosecution)
Guest Budo Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 It's simple - Chelsea hand over the cash (not a lot to them is it?) and they promise utd they won't make a bid for another player that utd are after. That's the agreement this dodgy cokerney agent is talking about on SSN and that's why he can't say anything.
