davies looks a smashing prospect. spurs have had a bid for him turned down today, £3.5m. can't really see the point of signing someone as young as him as cover while loaning out paletta though.

Think the diffrence between the two is that Paletta has been playing in Argentina and we don't know how good he is or how he would adapt, with Agger also in the same boat having not played that much it'd be handy to have a player with premiership experience.

 

Obviously if Benitez see's Paletta as a future star for the club then perhaps we're better off getting an older CB as short term cover but if Paletta's not going to be here and Hyppia only has a season or so left in him then we're going to need another CB by the summer anyway. Do we juggle Paletta, Agger and Curtis and hope one of those matures enough to take the step up when Hyppia does move aside or do we decide against Curtis and look to bring in an alternative next summer.

 

If we have the money available onc our other deals are done then I think we should go for it like we did with Sissoko.

didnt really rate Davies that much tbh, looked good, nothing more for me, got caught out quite a lot but did make a good few important challenges - probably will improve with more time and experience

but

over-hyped a bit because hes young and english IMO
