Whatever happened to the Old Magic Sponge and Spray

I was watching the 1979 Cup Final between the Mancs and the @a*** last night on FSW here in the States and was pissing myself the amount of times the magic sponge and that spray they used to use were used. Every player who went down regardless of the injury got the same treatment. Even head wounds were treated with the same spray. I think it was more for psychological purposes as despite being in agony the players after a quick spray and use of the sponge were immediately back on their feet. Maybe the makers can bring it back and sell it exclusively to Chelsea.
