Gilps Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Saturday 15 July Liverpool have confirmed they will face Wrexham in their first pre-season friendly of the summer. A Reds' X1 will travel to the Racecourse Ground to face the League Two side on Saturday July 15. The side is unlikely to feature any of the players who will have represented their countries during the World Cup. "Over the past two years since we have been in administration, Liverpool have been superb with us," said Wrexham boss Denis Smith. "They have provided us with a lifeline now in each of the last two years and we are very grateful for their friendship." This friendly is the second to be confirmed by the Reds so far, with a trip to face Crewe pencilled in for the following Saturday on July 22. Rafael Benitez's side will then travel abroad for a training camp which is likely to include a number of matches. Stay in touch with Liverpoolfc.tv for more pre-season announcements and ticket details as they become available
Will Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Sod's law. I was due to be away the weekend after and shifted it to that weekend so that I could make the Crewe friendly! Never mind, though - been to both grounds before, so as long as Crewe is definitely on 22nd I don't mind too much...
jimmylibel Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 We also have to have a pre-season with Lincoln don't we? Part of the deal for Hobbs I thought.
