World Cup-Phil Neville replaces Reo-Coker on England stand-by

 

LONDON, May 22 (Reuters) - Midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has withdrawn from England's World Cup stand-by list and has been replaced by Phil Neville, British media reported on Monday.

 

West Ham United's Reo-Coker suffered a knock in training earlier in the day and his place on the list of five reserve players has now been taken by Everton utility man Neville.

England's squad depth, except in central defence is actually quite poor. Given his verstaility and question marks over other player's fitnesses I think it's a logical decision.
