It could be an £8m if we win the European Cup while Andy is at the club and he scores in the final £8m though. Bolton are pretty skint I think.

I think he'd be a terrific signing for us. Incredibly fast, works hard, mentally strong and knows where the goal is to a far greater extent than someone like Defoe. Scores a lot of scruffy ones. Exactly what we need.

I'm bit weary, what with him being so expensive (i.e. English), but I agree, he tends to chase everything and harry defenders, and some of those lost causes result in goals. Seems to take a good penalty too

probably not, but Crouch and Johnson are two very different types of players, and i think Crouch gives more to a team performance than Johnson ever will. Johnson contributes very little to the team, where Crouch contributes an awful lot. i also think that as far as scoring goals is concerned, there is little to choose between them, but Crouch is a better player for me, simply because he can hold the ball up well, has a good touch, and if need be, he can be used as a target man. plus the guy is much more unplayable than Johnson, teams have to reorganise their whole defenisve tactics in order to deal with someone like Crouch, and as a result this creates more space for other strikers and players coming forward from midfield

I don't agree with that Wayne,as somebody else pointed out he works really hard,he's one of those strikers who actually bothers to do defensive duties,like Rushie used to.He's always running about harrying and hassling the defenders,which makes a great contribution to any team. I also reckon that Johnson's got pace and a decent touch,and clearly knows where the net is,which are some great attributes to have.

He's not worth any more than £8m at the moment though. If he was German,for example,he'd probably go for around £5 or £6 million.

Goes down in the penalty area far too easily. Would be a marked man by refs at a big club.
