Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has been given a six-match touchline ban by the Football Association.

The charge relates to an incident against Leeds on 18 April where Warnock was sent from the dugout for confronting Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell.

 

Four of the six games are suspended but Warnock will miss the first two matches of the Premiership season.

 

He has also been fined £1,000 and a further £750 in relation to a gesture aimed at the Norwich bench on 18 March.

 

Warnock pleaded guilty to the FA charge of improper conduct during the game with Leeds.

 

Warnock was upset with Gary Kelly's late challenge on Craig Short and vented his anger at Blackwell and the fourth official.

 

The Blades boss, who guided the team into the Premiership this season, admitted an identical charge in April.

 

That was for making a V-sign at Norwich boss Nigel Worthington in another game.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

 

Hopefully this will be a regular event come next season. Hopefully several of his blood vessels will burst at any moment during a highly charged Prem game.

i completely agree with the comments on here. Warnock is a feckin disgrace. He's a blot on an already sour city and a massive blot on football.
