ricflairandy Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Maldini, and milan last year where fantastic. I remember maldini clapping as we went up for the cup at the end. A far cry from the whinging of arsenal and the media today. As for henry, whilst he is one of the best players in the world(if not the best) he should look at himself as captain not turning up before looking to blame others and give no credit or respect to the team who where rightly crowned european champions. And if he is looking for someone to blame aside from himself, he shold look no further than jens lehman. Anyway, my point is, Milan players and fans where a credit to there club last year. Such a shame that this years final is tainted with bitterness.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Probably makes it easier for Maldini since he's won it before.
ricflairandy Posted May 18, 2006 Author Posted May 18, 2006 Probably makes it easier for Maldini since he's won it before. Probvably, but it wasnt just maldini. Most of the team where extremely dignified in there reactions and comments towards teh game. For me last night, only ashley cole came out of it with any dignaty.

The Hitman Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 rafa did shake hands with carlo at the end last season, shows his class!I don't think it's classy,I think it's the norm. Unless you're Arsene or Jose, that is.
Ahmed Dimwitson Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 (edited) Anyway, my point is, Milan players and fans where a credit to there club last year. Such a shame that this years final is tainted with bitterness. Hardly tainted, nobody outside England gives a flying f*** what these nobodies are saying. The Arsenal players are making asses of themselfs. I can however not understand how they can be whinging about the referee when their opposition wrongly had a goal disallowed. You earn nobodies respect with whinging, especially when it is of such pathetic quality as it is now and in hindsight. What's the point of complaining about an offside when a) barca score a legit goal b) conceded a goal because of a blatant dive. f***ing normal people would just shut the f*** up, this however does not seem to be the case with english teams. Both chelsea and arsenal can do the talk but not walk the walk. Edited May 19, 2006 by Ahmed Dimwitson

No wonder they got battered.
Guest Kev Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 You can't compare Maldini to any player never mind any Arsenal one. Maldini is truely one of the greatest players ever.
