sean Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I know he's leaving Barca this summer, but where is he going? The reason I mention him in this forum is he's one of the top players I rarely see linked with us and he'd be exactly what I thought we were getting when we got Morientes. A more than capable target man who runs channels and playes some excellent football, inside and outside the box, not to mention an excellent finisher.Watchin him last night got me to thinking about Henrik. Understated brilliance, led by example when it was most required, unlike Henry and Ronaldinho, both of whom were hell-bent on emphasising to the world how much better they were. Both were far too interested in expressing their passion, as opposed to bloody just doing it.I'd take him in a shot.
Guest Scot Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Going back to his old club in Sweden isn't he? Helsingborg?

Barcelona fans and players dont want him to leave barca but i guess he has made his mind up about it.
Gilps Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 He's going back home, to Helsingborg. Largely because he wants to be playing 90 minutes regularly in his last year or two at the top.
Morgul Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Yep, he's going to Helsingborg. The tickets for his first game sold out in less than 2 hours. Quality player, one of the best Swedish players ever in fact. He was great last night as well.
LFCNeil90 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Aye he's going to Helsingborg.Pity he's still a great player
Boca Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Call me crazy, but I have a sneaky feeling he is going back to his old club Helsingborg.
Clay Davis Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 some journalist told me he was going to Helsingborg. don't blame me if its wrong im just passing on the info.
JRC Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I seem to recall he was actually seen in his car, leaving Melwood, just after Fowler left us....presumably heading for the Estate Agents
Coyler Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Beautiful player. Would have loven to see him play for Liverpool, and not just because he's Irish.
cymrococh Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 He's going back to Helsingborg, for a variety of reasons.
Des Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Beautiful player. Would have loven to see him play for Liverpool, and not just because he's Irish.
Clay Davis Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 but if he sings in the star trek borg language....how will we understand him? bad joke.i'm learning.
Guest Yorke Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 He's going back home, to Helsingborg. Largely because he wants to be playing 90 minutes regularly in his last year or two at the top. The main reason for him to go back to Sweden is that he want's his kids to go to Swedish school.
aka Dus Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 He'll scre 15 goals in the Swedish League after the WC break. His mind's ot for turning, though the state HIF are in after sacking their manager might make him wish he'd stalled on. He's got a big house built near Helsinborg and I think going home is as much for his family as anything else. In any event, he only ever played one season for Helsingborgs. Högeborgs is his real home town club and where he started. The kind of guy he is he could easily drop down to the 2nd Division to play with them in his last year.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Beautiful player. Would have loven to see him play for Liverpool, and not just because he's Irish.Just because he's Irish. You Irish are all the same
Guest Makaveli Smith Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Larrson is heading home alright, Barca have gone mad trying to convince him to stay... didn't they actually even have a huge party with loads of fans or somethinag just to try and convince him to stay??? also I think they asked his family to convince him to stay... not sure because I cant remember but there was something on sky sports about it before.. anyone remember this?
Koogan Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 (edited) I've got nothing against Henke, but bare in mind that last night he came on fresh to play against a tiring defence, all the hard work had already been done and gaps were starting to appear. He wouldn't have done so well if Arsenal had been playing at full strength the whole game. Some people are so easily carried away like... Edited May 18, 2006 by Koogan
Guz Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 I dont agree all the hard work had been done. Almunia didnt have that many saves to make for all the posession Barca had. Arsenal probably had more clear chances at the other end on the counter to be honest. That little through ball for the 2nd goal was class.

I must admit I do get carried away by match-winning performances in major cup finals! The bloke's a class act. Always has been. No question in my mind he could still do damage for us in the Premiership.
Koogan Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 That little through ball for the 2nd goal was class. Did you see the huge amount of space the Arsenal defence left there? Very bad defending that. I've never rated Belletti much but even he saw the opportunity immediately.
